Casa Isabella

This house was inhabited by Don Jose De Amador and plans for the independence in Cartagena took place there. The house was restored in the year of 2002 by an artist from Bogotá specialized in Colonial and Republican art. Casa Isabella has monumental spaces with spectacular Colonial style heights, ceilings with carved wooden finish, a wine cellar, a pool, a watch tower, magnificent arches and columns and pretty interior colonial balconies.

In its corridors and bedrooms we find different designs and works that evoke different traditions. The master bedroom is appropriate for a romantic wedding night and the house is frequently reserved for important receptions. The house has 4 employees to help make your stay in the city a hassle-free experience. Feeding the employees must be provided by renters. Employees work from 07 am to 6 pm, additional time must be requested previously.

Location:

Without doubt, Cartagena’s Old Town is its principal attraction, consisting of the historical districts of El Centro and San Diego. The area is a true gem of colonial architecture, packed with churches, monasteries, plazas, palaces and mansions with their overhanging balconies and shady patios. The best approach to experiencing Old Town is to wander leisurely, savouring the architectural details, street life and local snacks along the way. The best restaurants and bars in the city are all within a few minutes walk and transport to and from the house is easy to arrange. Whether you’re arriving from the airport, visiting the sights or setting off to the marina to spend a day at sea this is the perfect area to base yourself for your stay in Cartagena.
