This magnificent boutique hotel is centrally located within the walls of Cartagena’s Old Town. This famous 17th century built colonial home was converted into a hotel in 2002 after belonging to Cartagena native Antonio Jose de Ayos, a locally renowned hero of Cartagena’s War of Independence, who also played a leading part in the liberation of the historic city. Approaching the end of the 19th century the house was passed onto the family of  Don Juan Bautista Marineros and was converted into an important centre of trade during the Republican period. This historical colonial home includes 10 Luxury Rooms, a Rooftop Lounge, Indoor Pool and Jacuzzi located in the majestic Courtyard, as well as a Turkish Bath and Spa Services. The hotel also includes a lounge room, which is the perfect spot for your next social gathering or business meeting with a capacity of 90 people. The design of this incredibly beautiful home is well maintained featuring authentic architecture and a decor theme inspired by the times where the Church had a major influence in the structure and organization of Spanish Colonial Society. You will find incredible sculptures and religious works of art throughout the whole house, allowing the guests to take a step back in time, but being reminded of the present with modern design features. Along with several amenities you will find that rooms come equipped with air conditioning, iPod docks, LCD cable television, wifi and a mini bar. Guests also have the option to feel on top of the world while enjoying a relaxing massage from the rooftop terrace. Without a doubt, this incredible 5-star hotel is where you want to be spending your down time, while enjoying the magical realism of Cartagena.
